Art Crush / Ceramic Hand Painted Rainbows by Eloeil

I am willing to bet my favorite rainbow over-the-knee socks that you’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter nugget of home decor than these hand painted ceramic rainbows by Eloeil. Given the resources, I’d buy them all up to gift to friends, family, and totally random strangers. And then I’d buy more to strategically place around my home. Thoughts? And I’m also willing to bet that you feel a little better than you did before seeing this post, am I right? Shop the collection over on Darling Clementine!

Art Crush / The Color Factory Exhibit in San Francisco

Have you heard about The Color Factory? It’s a new pop-up exhibit in San Francisco that runs through the month of August (and I just heard it sold out! But word is they’re now extending its run into September…). You guys, you have no idea how bummed I am to be missing this. If only I timed my trip to align with getting a chance to explore this hopped up color haven. Oh does San Francisco know how to inspire. Sigh. This from their site, “This two-story interactive exhibition celebrates color and material, featuring work by some of our favorite artists and collaborators: Jacob Dahlgren, Tom Stayte, Geronimo Balloons, Tosha Stimage, Stanton Jones, Andrew Neyer & Andy J. Miller, Carissa Potter, Jessica Hische, Rebecca Wright, Randi Brookman Harris, Leah Rosenberg and Erin Jang. Lose yourself in 10,000 colored ribbons, sink into a giant yellow ball pit, catch some rainbows, smell colorful memories, and taste a spectrum of treats from our favorite stops in San Francisco. The pinks will delight you, the blues will amaze you, the yellows might make you hungry.” And from Architectural Digest, “Color Factory is home to 15 site-specific works by artists and creatives, with a mix of local and global talents. “Our goal was that each installation would meet three criteria,” says Ferney. “It would be conceptual, [be] beautiful and photogenic, and be an experience you couldn’t get anywhere else.” Some rooms focus on a single shade, such as Bay Area artist Tosha Stimage’s assemblage of orange objects and British artist Tom Stayte’s violet selfie installation, while others celebrate the full color spectrum. Jang created a variety of rainbow spaces, from a plaid mural to the striped reception room.” San Francisco friends, please go and gush about it to me, so I can pretend I was there too. Yes? Sigh.

Favorite Pins Lately/ Pastel and Floral Color Bombing

Hey there. How’s your week going? Is the sunshine out where you are? It’s been steady here the last couple of days and, I’ll tell ya, it’s a mood booster. The colors, the flowers, the sky, the people, the air…they all have an extra kick of life, you know? I’ve been relishing the coming of Spring and the pastel palettes that organically flow from this time of year. Life is blooming and it’s delicious to witness. Next week I’ll be in the throes of the Spring/Summer collection photoshoot and, soon after, its launch in my shop. Keep an eye out for that ’cause I’ll also be sharing a new business endeavor at that time; which I’m excited about and I hope you will be too! For now, I’m prepping all things floral and a color story ripe for Springtime. Can’t wait to share it all with you soooooooooon… Until then, how about some lovely inspiration? I give to you my favorite pins, lately…   Happy hump day, friends! [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 ]

Color Crush / Rainbow Everything

I’m all about a good rainbow these days. Like dogs, any time I see a rainbow or rainbow colored anything it’s instant happiness. Go ahead, google the word…magical, isn’t it? I’m particularly fond of using multiple colors in home decor. But the tone needs to be balanced; not too busy or overwhelming. I want to step into the space and feel lighter, not overstimulated. These are some great examples of just that… Gold and rainbow utensils? Oh my gosh… And what’s life without rainbow dessert (recipe in credits below)… Plus this, because…so true. Hope you all enjoy a relaxing weekend. The world has been a doozy lately and I’m not backing down from helping as much as I can. But first, a Saturday spent by myself indoors baking cookies and taking naps. Love, Cath [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 ]
