Christian Dior’s Romantic Fall 2017 Collection

Winter is calling to me already. I think it’s because I’ve been deep in the creative process for my Winter collection and shop rebrand and I’m feeling a true visceral connection to it all. So much so that I’ll be modeling the pieces myself, which I hope doesn’t come off as narcissistic, but truth told I’m so resonant with the aesthetic as it mirrors this stage in my life. Both empowering and light-filled. And simply designed (I’ve craved simplicity). So as I’m preparing wardrobe and location for the photoshoot, I’ve decided to stick to neutral with subtle to no adornment, save for the actual collection pieces. I think that’s why this Christian Dior Fall 2017 line stopped me in my tracks. Gorgeous, tailored perfection, and oh so romantic…all without the pomp and circumstance of too much flashiness. Lovely and calming too, I think… Peep more of this collection over on Vogue!

Resort 2018 / Carolina Herrera’s Exuberant Collection

As if the color block wonderland (those belts!) wasn’t enough, Carolina Herrera’s vibrant 2018 Resort collection feels ever more life-giving with the addition of floral accents. I’m loving this description from Vogue… Optimism and prettiness have long numbered among Carolina Herrera’s signatures, but she’s done a particularly good job evoking them with her new Resort collection—at a time when we (fashion, America, the world) have never needed them more. Herrera said she looked to the gardens at her home in her native Venezuela for her flower motifs, and the exuberant colors she pulled from them for other pieces. What was noteworthy about her palette this season was its mix-and-match freedom. A breezily terrific gown in pink and blue striped technical taffeta was finished with a cherry red sash belt, and she combined unexpected hues just as nimbly elsewhere. Pretty uplifting, huh? Favorite Pins Lately/ Feminine Things I’d Like to Wear

Things I like to wear include anything flowers and floral related (embroidered accents are a bonus), simple prints (okay, who am I kidding? Most any prints), gold touches, billowy frills, pretty vintage shoes, darling socks, and a whole lot of a feminine vibe. Sunday dreaming with these beauties…. Got a favorite here? Prefer sweats on a Sunday instead? It’s all about wearing what you feel comfortable in, am I right? Do that. [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 ]

5 Pretty Shoes to Make Your Feet Gorgeous

For the past month I’ve been without my favorite everyday shoes, platform Mary Janes. They are the most comfortable heels I own and are stylish enough to pair with most any pretty day-to-day outfit. And anyway, they’re so worn, in fact, that  the buckles and soles have been beaten up and need to be repaired (and is it normal for this to take a month? Busy cobbler.) My feet are missing them dearly. But soon soon… To keep my mind occupied, I’ve been daydreaming about pretty shoes. Like these… And for kicks, these darling socks. [ 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 ]

Is it Summer Yet? Mara Hoffman Spring Swim 2017

I know it’s the very first day of Spring, but look how cute these swimsuits are! I’m loving the patterns and colors, and wishing hard that I could wear them without my tattoos clashing (the one con of being heavily tattooed, to my mind). Mara Hoffman’s Spring Swim 2017 has successfully led the way to chants of warmer, sunshiny weather…

5 Favorite Ban.do Enamel Pins

Are we still going with this flair trend? Yes. Yes, we are. Enamel pins bring me lightning speed back to my youth; where rollerskating to Pat Benatar in the cellar reigned supreme (I wore my sister’s; they were too big but damnit if I didn’t haphazardly skate around in them anyway) and adorning my windbreaker with rainbow and Strawberry Shortcake pins  (worn over my pastel geometric jumpsuit, no less) kept me in the running for the most awkwardly dressed kid in the neighborhood. By far. Some things never change. But hey! Look! Ban.do has done their magic with these beauties and I want them all… The good thing about not being able to choose just one is that they’ll all look good together so you can get them all. You’re welcome.
