Pretty and Super Healthy Spring Toast Recipes

I saw this colorful toasts image on Pinterest and it wooed me, because…so dang pretty. But on closer examination the diverse and healthy ingredients caught my eye and I thought, “Get on this, Cath.” Avocado smeared on amply buttered toast is delicious and all, but maybe I need to amp  things up. The Glitter Guide gathered seasonal recipes for Spring and I’m all over them. Like… + avocado and spinach with cucumbers + caprese salad toast + blueberry chia seed jam with dragon fruit + almond butter with cinnamon, honey and chamomile flowers (my favorite!) Get healthy with a smile on your face…Check out more here!

Rainbow Unicorn Toast Recipes

Toast recipes have hit all all-time high in popularity. Likely because they’re photo-worthy, sure. But, too, they can be uniquely healthy. Who knew a slice of toast could pack such a punch? Food stylist and photographer Adeline Waugh has this to say about her colorful technique, I’ve been trying to incorporate red beets into as many creations as possible, ever since I realized that they can turn just about anything into the most ridiculously beautiful shade of hot pink. I was using beet cream cheese to make colorful pink toast, and then it occurred to me that I could probably make additional colors of cream cheese using natural ingredients… I don’t mess around with toxic chemicals in my food, so food coloring was never an option. I use beet juice for the hot pink, freeze dried strawberry powder for the light pink, turmeric root juice for the orange/yellow, drops of chlorophyll for the light green, spirulina powder for the light blue, and freeze dried blueberry powder for the purple. Really loving this, you guys. Peep more here + on her (super pretty) Instagram, too!
